A Hero On A Mission:
Year One
Day 115: Another Day of Rest
This Sunday has been a day of rest. I needed a big nap and took one. Even a Hero On A Mission needs to take the time to be refreshed.
Day 114: Dreams of Travel and a Baby Step
As a Hero On A Mission (HOAM) one of the things I’ve envisioned is that Jill and I enjoy traveling together in the years to come. With four kids, a job that required my weekends, and limited funds. We’ve not been able to do much traveling alone as a couple over the...
Day 113: A Hero On A Mission Pays Attention To Spiritual Health
The picture above is of a Bible Book Club I’ve been a part of for several months now. These guys are young, hungry, ambitious, spiritually alive entrepreneurs who I thoroughly enjoy. We get together once a week to talk about the part of the Bible we read the past...
Day 112: How My Life Plan Helped Me Navigate Business While I Was Sick
There is a flu bug making it’s rounds here in the Fargo area. Unfortunately, that flu bug bit me over a week ago. I am still not 100% back to normal. But last night and into today, I think I’ve seen great improvement. Fortunately, my Hero On A Mission (HOAM) Life Plan...
Day 111: When a Streak Breaks…Start a New Streak
Yesterday this Hero On A Mission (HOAM) didn’t write a blog post. Perhaps you noticed. It ended a 109-day streak of blogging every day about being a HOAM. I’m disappointed I missed a day. But I also know that the most important thing to do when a streak like that is...
Day 109: How I Made My Hero On A Mission Life Plan Even Better For Me
Yesterday, while I was watching my North Dakota State Bison football team lose their first home game since November 2017, I worked on my Hero On A Mission (HOAM) half-page format. Since I created my HOAM Life Plan I wished I had a half-page format. Something I could...
Day 108: A Weekend Couldn’t Have Come At a Better Time
As this Hero On A Mission (HOAM) continues to recover from illness, Saturday came as a true blessing. I did go grocery shopping like a I normally do on Saturday morning. But I took my youngest with me to help. That was great! I called my Mom. I watched my favorite...
Day 107: (Bad) Reasons I Work When I’m Sick
This “being sick” is getting old. As an achiever and task-driven person, I’ve always struggled with accepting I’m sick. I also hate letting people down. Which is what I need to do to clear my schedule when I don't feel well. As a result, I either plow through and...
Day 106: Sick Day
Even a Hero On A Mission gets sick. Yesterday and today, I’ve been sick. I spent the majority of my last two days in bed sleeping. There was one very important work requirement I showed up for each day. That was all I really had energy for. Yesterday morning I got a...

I know firsthand just how demanding leadership is. I know what it is like to wear many hats at once. Most leaders aren’t sure how to make it all work. I believe every business leaders’ hard work deserves great results.
I’ve felt the pain of having too much to do and not enough time to do it. That’s why I’ve created this blog. I use the Hero On A Mission Life Planner and Daily Planning sheets to become more productive and profitable without losing my life in the process.
At Teleion I coach business leaders to be able to peacefully go to sleep at night confident that they’ve moved the dial from “too busy and scattered” to “productive and profitable.” Knowing that, in turn, they will be able to do even more to make our world a better place to live, work, and worship. The Hero On A Mission Workshop and Coaching are two ways I do that.
